STAMPING
For this technique the forger needs to create special stamping devices known as dies.
Some ways to create a die are
a. Cut on steel billet as did the cutters on mints;
b. Copy from the original coin on a workpiece by means of pantographs;
c. To get a print-form from the original coin;
d. To get a negative galvanic copy from the original coin;
e. Electrochemical treatment of metal.
The stamping process can be made by sophisticated equipment at a manufacture, by more simple machines or by the simplest hummer hit at home:
Modern advances in the development of new
types of industrial equipment have led in recent years to such effects as a
sharp increase in the quality of manufacturing fake Russian coins. Now forgery
intends to deceive collectors mainly by minting (all Russian coins were only
minted). Forged stamps for stamping and mintage equipment made at the highest
technical level because now as counterfeiters are not acting as single artisans
or handicraft workshops. They are the workers and people of engineering and
technical personnel of industrial companies with access to the latest technology
and using it illegally only for profit.
