    How can one easily distinguish the fake 1 Rouble from 1922 from a genuine one?

      Some fakes have the same wear pattern - number 1 must have stripes all the way from top to bottom, this particular type of fake coins has stripes only up to half way from the top.

    The problem is that in our days it is not easy. If you have it on pictures before buying or you have had it, try to compare with the other coins of 1922 in the data of the past auctions (weight and published pictures). The letters of 1922's genuine coins are more clear. You can send me pictures and I can try to help or to ask my friends - specialists in Russian coins. Good luck.

    Just bought a fake rubel 1922. He had a weight of 15,4 gramm. If i have time, i will upload a picture.

    Nikolay, I have a non-magnetic 1915 1 ruble. The mint marks (B.C) on the edge appear to be correct. Do the fake coins also have mint marks on the edge as well? Thank you

    I have a 1 ruble coin 1897 everything seems fine the weight is correct. Sounds correct. What isnt correct is that the thickness is 2.4 not 2.7
